Binance has announced in a statement last April 1, 2022, that they have been named the official crypto exchange sponsor for the upcoming 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards. This is the first time that any crypto exchange platform has been named a sponsor in such a prestigious event in music, marking a significant moment in crypto history.
‘As the official crypto exchange partner of the GRAMMY Awards, we will continue to work with the Recording Academy throughout the year to bring various Web3 technology solutions and experiences to the organization’s members, events and initiatives,’ the statement reads.
In the snippet published on the official website of the GRAMMY Awards last March 29, 2022, Binance was mentioned as one of the many sponsors for the year. The exchange platform is listed among many other big names such as Mastercard, IBM, Bulova and SiriusXM to name a few.

According to reports made by independent Australian news site Stockhead published last April 1, 2022, there is a possibility of Binance working with the music industry to produce NFTs. While there are no confirmations or announcements of any kind, many in both the crypto and music industries think that NFTs could be one of the latest trends artists can use to expand their reach today.
This is not the first time a crypto-related company has supported a major event. Last February 14, 2022, FTX sponsored events surrounding the Super Bowl weekend while Crypto.com funded broadcasting time during the 94th Academy Awards last March 28, 2022. However, Binance has made history as the first official crypto exchange sponsor for the GRAMMY Awards.
The 64th GRAMMY Awards is set to take place on April 4, 2022, in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Some of the nominees of the night include Doja Cat, BTS, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and so much more. The presence of Binance and its support to the music industry is a step in a different yet fresh direction for the digital currency market.
