Celsius wins 2021 Best Cryptocurrency Wallet award

Leading cryptocurrency rewards-earning platform Celsius announced in a press release on April 5 that the company received the Best Cryptocurrency Wallet award in Fintech Breakthrough’s fifth annual awards program.

FinTech Managing Director James Johnson declares that Celsius aims to promote the financial freedom of people by providing them with better opportunities.

‘We are thrilled to recognize Celsius for their success and momentum in this mission, serving as a true example of breakthrough technology in the FinTech space. We extend our sincere congratulations to the entire Celsius team for winning Best Cryptocurrency Wallet for 2021,’ Johnson stated.

Celsius uses blockchain technology to offer fast transactions, high returns and no additional fees. It also provides weekly rewards and up to 15% annual percentage yield in rewards on the users’ digital assets.

Aside from this, the platform requires no minimum balance and offers loans with only 1% interest rates.

As of February, Celsius has more than 500,000 users and spent about $250 million in cryptocurrency rewards. Furthermore, the Celsius Network confirmed in its March audit that the company is managing over $10 billion worth of crypto assets.

Celsius also has a native token, CEL, which currently ranks 50th by market capitalisation. Its current value as of writing is $6.48.

For this year’s awards program, more than 3,850 nominations were submitted to FinTech from all over the world. Among these traditional categories, Celsius was representative of the progress of cryptocurrency in the finance industry.

Other awards recognised by FinTech in the 2021 awards program include Bitstamp for Best Cryptocurrency Exchange, the IPC Systems as Best Cryptocurrency Info Source and MoonPay for Best Cryptocurrency Purchasing Site.
